New technology and the acquisition of necessary equipment can be crucial to modern research, yet funds for this purpose are often lacking. The  Johnson Cancer Research Center (JCRC) will fund equipment purchases for equipment and service cores that serve K-State and JCRC faculty members. Our intent is to help fund high-impact equipment that can be used by large numbers of JCRC faculty. This mechanism is only available to recognized core facilities at K-State and not open to individual labs even with the understanding that equipment will be shared. A progress report on the equipment acquisition will be required six months after funding. 

Requirements of Application: 

1. Completion of the online application.
2. Description of the core facility.
3. Description of the requested equipment.
4. Justification for the equipment purchase.
5. Bid(s) and cost of equipment.
6. Cost Sharing.
7. List of JCRC-affiliated faculty that will use the equipment, five page biosketch for each JCRC- affiliated faculty that will use the equipment which must include how the equipment will impact the faculty member's research program and how much they will use the equipment in the person statement. The biosketch of the core director should be first among the biosketchs.
8. List Publications for the last 3 years which acknowledge funding form the Johnson Cancer Research Center.
